Welcome to Gil-Lec Electrical Wholesalers, the number 1 reseller of FuseBox circuit protection. We've been proudly supporting FuseBox since they burst on to the scene in 2017.

We stock a huge range of FuseBox products and this page is dedicated to bring you the latest and best that FuseBox have to offer.

If you're after a FuseBox consumer unit, RCBO, AFDD or any of their accessories, look no further, you'll find it here.

FuseBox Consumer Units, RCBOs, AFDDs MCB & SPDs

FuseBox Main Switch Consumer Units with SPD

Main Switch SPD consumer units (RCBO boards) are by far the most popular consumer unit in the FuseBox range. They are available in 6, 10, 14, 20, 21 and 29 usable ways in single row and double bank options.

The range is supplied complete with a 100A main switch incomer, Type 2 Surge protection device and 32A MCB and tails clamp as standard. All you need to do is choose which RCBO to install, the standard Type A or the mini double pole version.

The enclosures are constructed from a robust electro-galvanised steel and finished in an attractive powder coated white. These consumer units are extremely spacious offering ample space for dressing cables and feature a removable DIN rail for added ease.

FuseBox Main Switch Consumer Units

FuseBox’s Main Switch consumer unit's are ideal for those installations where an SPD isn’t required at the time of installation. We all know that things can change and FuseBox have been clever enough to design these boards with this in mind. Each unit has additional 2 ways to install Surge Protection at a later date if needed.

Available in a variety of sizes to any suit homes from a small 4 way through to the 30 way larger duplex units. All are supplied with a 100A main switch isolator and a couple of blanks. The double bank consumer units have an additional 100A connection unit to join the DIN rails.

FuseBox Mini Double Pole Type A RCBO - B Curve

The latest in RCBO technology, these mini FuseBox RCBOs certainly pack a lot into a small package. Double Pole and Type A as standard not only provides complete circuit isolation but complete peace of mind from installation, testing through to day to day use.

By installing a double pole RCBO you ensure that over currents are detected in both poles unlike with a single pole switched neutral that would only have over current protection on the live.

These devices are available both B Curve and C Curve with 6kA tripping characteristics in 6A, 10A, 16A, 20A, 32A & 40A.

FuseBox Miniature RCBOs are the same size as an MCB, one module wide and only 85mm tall. This provides almost 30% more wiring space inside an already spacious consumer unit.

FuseBox RCBO Single Pole Type A - B Curve

Probably the most popular and certainly most competitively priced RCBO that FuseBox offers.

These standard size Type A RCBOs are designed to protect against Residual Current, or Earth Leakage and Over-Current in both AC (Alternating Currents) and DC (Direct Currents).

RCBOs effectively are a combination of RCD and an MCB device in one handy little package. Available in 6A,10A,16A,20A, 25A, 32A, 40A & 50A and have short circuit capacity of 16kA in a B Curve.

FuseBox AFDD RCBO Type A - B Curve

In answer to the latest requirements of the 18th Edition, FuseBox has released a single module Arc Fault Detection Device. These AFDDs offer the highest level of protection against fires occurring due to electrical faults which cannot be detected by traditional MCBs, RCDs or RCBOs.

This combination of AFDD and Double Pole RCBO along with microprocessor technology provides protection against dangerous arcs faults. These are most commonly caused by worn contacts, damaged cables and loose connections.

The FuseBox AFDD is a retro fit device which can be installed in any of FuseBox’s main switch consumer units. These devices have a 16kA short circuit capacity and are available in amperages ranging from 6A to 40A.

FuseBox Dual Tariff Consumer Units

FuseBox Dual Tariff or Twin Tariff consumer units have been designed to meet the increasing demand for dual metering.

They are supplied complete with two 100A Main Switches and 2 distribution bus bars. Available in 3 sizes, 14 Ways 7/7, 20 Ways 10/10 and 30 Way 15/15.

These consumer units can be configured in a number of ways but are most commonly populated with a Surge Protection device and RBCOs or more recently AFDDs in houses of multiple occupancy (HMO).

FuseBox RCD Consumer Units

Although there has been a shift towards RCBO main switch consumer units in recent years, there is still a demand for dual RCD or split load consumer units.

FuseBox’s range includes 80A & 100A units with and without Type 2 Surge Protection Devices (SPD) which range in size from 6 – 27 useable ways. All are supplied with a 100A main switch isolator and Type A RCDs.

FuseBox Electric Vehicle Distribution Boards

The shift towards renewable energy and the rise in the number electric cars on the road has created a need for a specific type of circuit protection.

FuseBox has stepped up to the plate and now offers a comprehensive range of electric vehicle charging distribution consumer units. These EV consumer units can be installed as part of a new build or retrofit installation.

All come with a 100A main switch isolator and the most popular units are available with or without Type 2 surge protection and in 32A & 40A variants.

FuseBox Surge Protection Devices

Current regulations state that a Surge Protection Device or SPD should be fitted in a new installation unless a risk assessment is carried out. As such FuseBox took the initiative to install them as standard in their most popular consumer units.

They also offer a range of retrofit options. The F1M2SPD is a Type 2 standalone unit with a 100A main switch which can be added to any installation. The idea behind this unit is that it can installed separate to the consumer unit which means it can be used with all manufacturers boards.

The SPDCUKITT2 is a handy little SPD kit which is supplied with a 32A MCB and 18mm cables.

Both options are suitable for us with TN, TNC-S and TT Systems and are designed to provide protection against transient over voltages such as lightning strikes and man-made occurrences. These over voltages or surges can either cause instant failure or damage to anything connected to the consumer unit such as your switches and sockets and ultimately your expensive gadgets that are plugged into them.

So, should you install an SPD? For the small cost and added peace of mind, why not.

Is Fusebox a fuse board or manufacturer?

Well, it’s both and here’s how...

FuseBox is the trading name of CP Electric, a manufacturer of high quality low voltage domestic circuit protection that won’t break the bank and most importantly won’t let you down.

Since their arrival in late 2017 FuseBox has taken the industry by storm, not afraid to ruffle a few feathers and take on the bigger more established companies. FuseBox have changed the way domestic circuit protection is marketed and delivered to the wholesaler, the installer and ultimately the end user.

Gil-Lec recognised very early on that FuseBox had something different. It’s striking pink branding was only the start. We have since worked closely with FuseBox and forged a strong relationship built on a mutual desire to give the end user what they want: a quality, cost effective circuit protection solution delivered when you need it.

All of FuseBox’s products are designed to conform to the latest and most stringent standards and are independently tested. Make no mistake, this is a premium brand at an exceptional price point.

Their range encompasses consumer units of all shapes and sizes and devices that conform to all the latest amendments to the 18th Edition.
Devices include; Surge Protection Devices (SPD), Type A RCBOs in single and double pole options, Arc Fault Detection Devices (AFDD), Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCB), transformers and timers.

Our review; FuseBox’s product is quite simply great, so would we recommend it? YES. We certainly would, as you’d expect. But you don’t need to take our word for it; a quick look on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube etc and you’ll find thousands of happy FuseBox customers.
