However, there is a new model in the range with a clever trick up its sleeve - the 08188 model with a built-in PIR sensor. This downlight incorporates infrared technology to automatically trigger the light when movement is detected in the vicinity, similar to external security lights. A fantastic choice for bathrooms, utility rooms and spaces such as hallways and cloakrooms, where automatic illumination creates ease of use and minimises the chance of lights being left on in error for long periods, and with a timer adjustable between 1 and 5 minutes, you can set the illumination time to your required needs.
The clever trick is pairing the 08188 PIR downlight with other 10510v2 downlights, allowing multiple fittings to be triggered via the PIR model acting as a master control to complement a given space. For example, a bathroom with four downlights, one 08188 PIR unit triggering the other three 10510v2 units for an integrated automatic illumination for the whole room.
